On Friday 28th February, 10 Physical Education teachers from Primary schools across the Network met at Armadale Senior High School for a Professional Development session. Physical Education HOLA, Gary Seers and Physical Education teacher, Claire Krawzow presented the session.
The group participated in a range of sports including AFL, Soccer, Netball, Basketball and Cricket. Alternative games such as Unihoc and Polo Hockey were also explored, along with ideas for warm-ups and ways to modify games for different age groups. Sincere thanks are extended to Gary and Claire for their time spent preparing and leading the session, and also to Armadale Senior High School for hosting the PD in their excellent Sports facility.
'Gary and Claire, Thank you so much again for your efforts on Friday at the PL Day. What a fantastic day and I came away with many new and different ideas for my PE classes. Thanks very much for your time and effort in putting together such an informative and hands on session that got me thinking about how I run my PE classes. A small email does not seem to do justice how good the day was.'
